Maxwell Evans

Max Evans is an alien king from another planet. Along with his sister Isabel and best friend Michael Guerin, they landed in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. They were in pods and awakened in the late 1980s, looking like six-year-olds.
He is serious, likes to have a plan, and loves his parents. The first time he laid eyes on Liz Parker, he began to develop deep feelings for her.
He risks his entire existence of getting caught when he heals her from a gunshot wound. At the end of his sophomore year, the love between Liz and him was disrupted by the newcomer Tess Harding.
She is later on found to be the fourth alien of the group, as well as Max's past wife.
Isabel Evans
(played by actress Katherine Heigl)
Isabel Evans is a young women who has two different personalities. She is a snob and is in the "in" crowd to the outside world, but to those who know her well, she loves her parents dearly and her brother, even Michael.
She and her brother Max were adopted by the Evans after the woke up from their pods in late 1980s.
Isabel, like Max, is content with her life in Roswell and didn't like the fact that Max told Liz Parker about their existence.
She likes to use her power to dreamwalk other people's dream. In one case, she discovers Alex Whitman's secret feelings toward her.
She later on begins to
develop
feelings for Alex, but before it could completely blossom, Alex is murdered by Tess Harding, the fourth alien.
Michael Guerin
(played by actor Brendan Fehr)
Michael is the "rebel" of the group, skipping school and getting in trouble with the sheriff.
He doesn't trust much people except Max Evans and Isabel Evans, his two friends that were with him since they crashed in 1947.
Michael was separated and adopted by an alcoholic guy name Hank Guerin.
He abuses Michael, both mentally and physically, and so he is also known as the "stonewall."
He drives his life to find the meaning of his existence. He is Max's former second in command and was betrothed to Isabel, though he only think of her as a sister.
He is constantly having an on-and-off relationship with waitress Maria DeLuca, Liz Parker's best friend. Michael is
currently
living alone in an apartment and works as a cook at the CrashDown Cafe.
Tess Harding
(played by actress Emilie de Ravin)
Tess Harding is the fourth alien of the PodSquad, found and raised by alien shape shifter Nasedo, their said to be protector.
He is killed by the skins and she is living under the roof of the Valentis. She is quite knowledgeable about the alien's past life.
She is the wife of Max Evan's in her past life and is persistent to make him feel the same about her as she does to him. She murdered Alex Whitman after he broke through her mindwarp.
Tess is now on her way to their home planet Antar carrying Max's son.
Liz Parker
(played by actress Shiri Appleby)
Human Liz Parker is an achieving student who hopes to be head of molecular biology research for Harvard someday.
She works at her parent's café, the CrashDown Cafe, alongside with her best friend Maria DeLuca. She likes
to keep a journal and writes in it every day, recording her inner thoughts and
personal feelings. When Max Evans, a mysteriously shy classmate, saves her from
a near-death experience, she suddenly gets sucked into the world of strange,
unusual and the abnormal and falls in love with the alien king. She tells best friend Maria DeLuca of their new alien friends, then later on had to tell Alex Whitman, her other best friend.
Liz had dated Kyle Valenti, the sheriff's son, but broke up with him some time after she was saved by Max.
Max and her were deeply in love until alien Tess Harding burst onto the scene. She sacrifices her relationship with Max so he could fulfill his "destiny." Max have broken her heart one too many times.
Maria DeLuca
(played by actress Majandra Delfino)
Maria DeLuca is the best friend and co-worker of Liz Parker. She was abandones by her father at an early age and was raised by her mother Amy.
She is funny, speaks what's on her mind always, and oftentimes sniffs oils to calm her nerves.
Her relationship with Michael Guerin is quite rocky and when he pushes her away because of his fear to let anyone in,
she pretends that it doesn't bother her, but it does.
Alex Whitman
(played by actor Colin Hanks)
Alex Charles Whitman is best friend to Liz Parker and Maria DeLuca.
He was the last to find out about Max, Isabel and Michael's little "secret."
He is funny, providing comic relief, and is sometimes considered a nerd.
He plays in a garbage band called the Whits and he worships the ground Isabel walks on.
Alex has accepted Isabel's destiny but was willing to be waiting for her when she needs him.
He is murdered by Tess Harding when he found out that she had mindwarped him into decoding their destiny book.
Kyle Valenti
(played by actor Nick Wechsler)
Kyle Valenti is ex-boyfriend to Liz Parker and the son of the town sheriff.
Kyle is seen as the all American high school jock, playing football.
Kyle thought he was to protect Liz from Max. He accidentally got shot by his father and Max had to heal him.
His protectiveness and attempts at friendship also brings comic relief to the show.
Jim Valenti
(played by actor William Sadler)
Town Sheriff Jim Valenti of Roswell was suspicious of Max after the shooting at the CrashDown Cafe.
He is interested in Maria's mother Amy DeLuca.
He's now an aid to the aliens because of his position in the police department.
