Part 3

Tess was cuddling next to Max, ignoring his annoyed look and frequent protests. Liz just gave them a sweet smile as she walked by. She concentrated on the blonde and gave her a little present for using Max as a tool to try and make her mad. Tess froze and stood like a stone, all expressions tightly held in place.

“What’s wrong Tess?” she asked, as if she knows nothing of this.

“Nothing,” came the tight and strained reply.

“Are you sure?” Liz’s eyes twinkled with evil.

“Yes, I’m positive.”

“Don’t do what I won’t,” she winked and walked away.

The moment she walked away, Tess’ muscle released itself from their prison spots and she breathed out in relief.

“There’s something seriously wrong with that girl,” Tess declared to Max, who but have a confuse look on his face.

“She was just concern about you Tess,” Max defended his ‘former girlfriend.’

“No, she wasn’t. Listen Max, I really need to talk to you,” she persisted.

Max made a sound of displease, “Not now.”

“But Max, just hear me out!” she nearly shouted in his ear.

“Fine,” he rolled his eyes for the tenth time, “but make it quick.”

“Liz’s acting totally out of whack these days. I think that there’s something seriously wrong with that girl.”

“For example?”

“For example the way she’s dressing! And look at that awful hairstyle!” Tess was referring to the mismatched clothes Liz was wearing and having always pulled her shoulder length hair into a simple ponytail and no makeup whatsoever.

“Hey, I just so like that hairstyle.”

“Whatever, plus, the way she treated you guys, and Maria. Maria’s like her best friend in the whole wide world, and she’s giving her the cold shoulder.”

“People have cranky days. Hers just so happen to be today.”
Tess let out a deep sigh.

“How about the strange burst of energy we felt? Explain that!”

“Well… um… perhaps…”

“See! You can’t even explain it! We should talk to Nasedo about this.”

“NO! We are *not* getting him involve!”

“Why not?”

“Because…”

“I’m telling him and you can’t stop me!”

The bell suddenly rung; cutting off Max’s response. He wanted to say more but the crowd of the student body herding to class was like a massive wave of water he couldn’t fight against. He watched helplessly as Tess’ blonde head became a dot among the crowd. Max gave up and went to his class, hoping secretly that Tess wouldn’t go to Nasedo for help because he still couldn’t trust him. Once the teacher began his lecture, Max’s thoughts were put at bay, for the moment at least.

Back with Tess…

As she went along with the crowd, passing by door slamming rooms, she felt two pair of hands grabbing her from behind and was being pulled into an unoccupied dark room. She struggled, trying to drag her feet so it would slow down her ‘abductor.’ It didn’t work, and so she used the Plan B. She tried to use her alien powers to make her abductor to believe that she had escaped from his grasp. Her eyes flew open at the sound of a closing door and being dropped onto the cold solid floor. She smiled, thinking that her plan had worked. As she painfully got up, she realized that she was wrong. Her abductor was still in the room, in fact, he was standing behind her. She turned around and came face to face with none other but Liz.
