Part 6

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Someone was knocking on the window. Max walks to the window, pulls up the shades, and sees Tess standing outside. *What’s she doing here?*

He opens the window, wishing he didn’t have to. “What is it Tess?”

Tess’ eyes wandered around the room before replying Max. “Where’s Isabel?”

“She went out shopping a while ago. Is there something I can help you with?”

*Yeah, kill Ms. Liz Parker for me.* “Call Michael and get Isabel, we’re having an emergency meeting right now.”

“Why?” Max reaches over for the phone.

“Just do it.” Tess switched into the soldier Michael was supposed to be. It was time for the young bride to take control; they needed to hear what she has to say.

That same Night…

Michael walks into Max’s room with a very irritated look.

“This better be good Maxwell,” he growled, “I had to break off an important date with Maria just for this. She’s going to skin me tomorrow!”

Isabel came in with pretty much the same facial expression.

“Don’t look at me,” Max retorted, “It was Tess’ idea!”

“It’s about Liz,” Tess said.

They all groaned, and headed for the door. “Where are you guys going?” Tess asks wildly.

“Anywhere but here,” Michael told her, grabbing his coat from the hanger.

Isabel turns and looks one last time and said, “When is it NOT about Liz, Tess?”

Tess runs to the door before they could reach it and slams her body against it. “Liz is not Liz.”

“And what is that suppose to mean?” Isabel threw back, sitting on Max’s bed and playing with his pillow.

Max went over to Isabel and took the pillow from her grasp. “Hey, get your own pillow to play with.”

Isabel pouted, and pleaded with her eyes to give her his pillow. *This worked before; it’ll sure to work again. Besides, I need SOMETHING to block out Tess’ voice.*

Max gave up after ten seconds and threw Isabel his pillow. She gave him a smirk and snuggled into it. Michael watches them in amusement. Tess just stood there thinking, “When are we going to start?”

“So,” Max suddenly said, “Tess, what were you saying at first?”

“Oh yes, do explain what you mean by Liz isn’t Liz,” Michael said sarcastically. *He must’ve picked up it from Maria.* Tess mused about his sarcasm.

Tess was startled out of her thoughts by Max clearing his throat. She had the speech all mapped out, now was the time to use it. She began to explain the confrontation with Liz in the classroom and the many times when Liz would send threatening messages to her both mentally and verbally. Despite the other’s disbelief looks, she continued and added some of her own lines and ideas. At the end of her talk, she glanced over at the clock and it read in its neon bright color, 12:34 PM. *Good. She should be asleep by now.*

“Isabel,” Tess said, turning to the blonde, “to prove what I’m saying. Dreamwalk Liz now.”

“What?” the three exclaimed.

Tess sighed and explained, “It’s half past midnight already, and she should be asleep. I’m betting that you can’t even penetrate her shields. If I’m wrong, then you’ll be in her dreams. But if you suddenly get back whipped, that would mean that I’m right.”

Isabel sent a nervous glance at Max’s direction, asking him and Michael if she should do it. They nodded their approval. Max opened his wallet to retrieve a picture of Liz, much to Tess’ anger for having it picture in his wallet, and handed it to his sister. Isabel lay on Max’s bed and made herself comfortable, taking a deep breath before fingering the picture of Liz Parker. She concentrated and with a whish, she was in.

Liz’s Dream…

Isabel looks around her surroundings in confusion. Everywhere she turned, she came face to face with a solid wall.

“Liz!” Isabel yelled, trying to figure out where she could be. If it was her dream, then she should be in it.

The walls disappeared and a blinding light took its place. Isabel willed the light to go away, but it didn’t work. She heard footsteps approaching, but she couldn’t see or move. SNAP! Someone had snapped her fingers, and the light was gone. Isabel looks up and sees Liz dressed in a white dress. But the strange thing was, Liz didn’t look like Liz. It was as if she was two person, but one; blended into one and their appearances were sharing the same slim body.

“Liz?” Isabel asked uncertainly.

Liz/Celia opened her mouth to talk. “I knew you would come tonight. Tess asked you to didn’t she?”

Isabel nodded, her throat suddenly dry.

Liz/Celia laughed. It was an eerie but musical tone. “So typical of her. She couldn’t handle me and sends you in. You’re just lucky that Liz considers you a friend, or else I would’ve killed you Royal Four the first time I set my eyes on you.”

“If we’re the Royal Four, then you shouldn’t kill us,” Isabel argued, having to regain her voice.

Liz/Celia laughed again; it sounded much more cold and scary this time. “I don’t’ care if you’re the Royal Four. It was your mother that killed Yiran,” Liz/Celia’s face turned cold, “She said she wouldn’t if I promised to accompany you four to Earth. But she turned back on her words.”

There was a moment of silence before she continued. “If I couldn’t get back at your mother, then I guess you four would just have to do. I was fortunate to have found her. She provided me with the key to get my revenge. Did you know that you four had hurt her? Especially the king and his … bride,” Liz/Celia spat out in disgust.

“Wait, who are you talking about? Who’s the ‘her’ you’re talking about?” Isabel interrupted.

“Liz of course, who else?” Liz/Celia said. A noise rang in the background. Liz/Celia smiled and turned around to leave.

“Until next time princess,” she said to Isabel, “oh and send my regards to Tess and Nasedo. Rot to hell, as the Earthlings here say.”

End Dream…

Isabel felt a jolt and jerked awake to see Max, Michael and Tess standing around her.

“What did you see?” they asked.

Isabel’s mind finally digested what had happened. She lifts a finger to point at Tess and said in shock, “you’re right. She’s not Liz.”
